There are two public post-secondary institutions that have satellite campuses in Calgary: their main campuses are found elsewhere in the province.
Athabasca University offers more than 90 graduate and undergraduate programs and over 700 courses via distance and online learning. The university has a learning centre in downtown Calgary for approximately 800 local students.
