Calgary’s Catholic junior high (grades seven to nine) and high schools (grades 10 to 12) serve the secondary education needs of children and teenagers between the ages of 12 and 18.
In Alberta, children are required by law to attend school up to the age of 16, and all programs and schools follow the curriculum set out by the province’s Department of Education. At Calgary Catholic schools, there is an additional religious education component.
Depending on your neighbourhood, and the age of your child, they may also attend an elementary/junior high school combined, or a junior/senior high school combined, that have a wider range of student ages.
If you are looking for a school, the Calgary Catholic School District has details on each of the Catholic junior and senior high schools in the city.
