Glenmore Park surrounds the Glenmore Reservoir and offers some of the most beautiful hiking trails east of Banff.
The city’s most extensive network of trails is located here and can be enjoyed year-round. The best areas for cross-country skiing are on the south side of the reservoir and at Weaselhead Flats on the northwest end, while the loop around the reservoir is a popular one with marathon trainers.
South Glenmore Park, at 347 hectares (3.47 square kilometres), is home to tennis courts, the Variety Children’s Park, a water park and the Glenmore Sailing School. North Glenmore Park, at 84 hectares (.84 square kilometres), includes picnic areas, firepits, playgrounds and tennis courts.
