Edworthy Park encompasses 127 (1.27 square kilometres) hectares on the Bow River between Sarcee Trail and Bow Trail.
The area has great fishing spots on the Bow River, as well as the Douglas Fir hiking trail to the beautiful Lawrey Gardens. Some of the fir trees are 400 years old and seven feet around.
Deer, buffalo bones and tepee rings can still be found in Edworthy. Guided group walks, playground equipment, picnic areas and overnight camping facilities are available.
The park is at 5050 Spruce Drive SW, which can be easily reached off of Shaganappi Trail and the city’s river pathway system.
