Calgary loves its farmers’ markets, with crowds regularly storming venues for fresh produce on weekends. Food isn’t all that’s available though: there are all kinds of surprises to be found at the region’s markets.
Bearspaw Farmers’ Market
Just west of the Calgary city limits off of Crowchild Trail, the Bearspaw Farmers’ Market operates every Sunday from June to October.
Blackfoot Farmers’ Market
This is the longest-running market in Calgary, offering locally grown farm-fresh produce from its location at 5600 – 11th Street SE.
Calgary Farmers’ Market
One of the city’s most popular markets is open all year – offering meat, seafood, dairy, farm produce, prepared foods and unique items – at 4421 Quesnay Wood Drive SW.
Crossroads Market
Calgary’s year-round indoor/outdoor market, Crossroads occupies a unique 1920s heritage building in Inglewood.
Millarville Farmers’ Market
Southern Alberta’s largest outdoor market – there are over 170 vendors – can be found just south of Calgary in Millarville.
