Honens International Piano Competition
The Honens International Piano Competition takes place every three years and is a celebration of the world's best young concert pianists.
The competition was founded in 1991 and is recognized for the caliber of international talent that it brings. It is also known for having the largest prize of any international music competition. The pianists awarded the title of Laureate not only receive a significant cash prize, but they also have the opportunity to take part in concert series, in-school educational programs, masterclasses and residencies. In addition, the three-year Artistic & Career Development Program ensures Laureates are given substantial mentorship and opportunities to build their career.
The seventh Honens International Piano Competition takes place from October 17-26, 2012.
