Every August, the Calgary International Reggae Festival, or ReggaeFest, takes place at Shaw Millennium Park, just to the west of downtown Calgary.
It’s a full-day family event with performances by international Reggae artists. The site includes a beer garden, separate children’s area, arts and crafts, and food vendors providing a taste of Rasta culture.
Performers at the 2009 festival included Beres Hammond, Culture Brown, Jon Bone with the Karuna Movement and Mello Man.
