Sun & Salsa Festival
The Sun & Salsa Festival is the Kensington community’s annual street fair and salsa-making competition.
Taking place along 10th Street and Kensington Road NW, there are a variety of food vendors and merchants who set up shop for the day. Musical and dancing acts appear on a number of stages.
There is also the Miss Sun & Salsa Pageant, which selects a Miss Sun & Salsa, Sun Princess and Salsa Princess every year.
The event takes place on a weekend day in mid-July every year.
