Afrikadey! – it’s meant to be shouted we think – is an annual celebration of African food, music and culture that takes place throughout the downtown core.
Now in its 19th year, it’s a lively event that includes musical performances, spoken word, art shows, drumming workshops, dance parties and more over the span of five days in August.
The big finale takes place at Prince’s Island Park on the Bow River with a concert of jams, dances, poetry readings and Afrobeat funk.
