The Banff Mountain Film & Book Festivals take place in Banff in late October/early November every year, attracting movie, book and mountain lovers.
The festival – held at the Banff Centre for the Arts – generally includes films, speakers, workshops, debates, art, readings, interviews, live music, yoga, photography, book signings and a book fair.
Since the mid-70s the festival has grown into one of the world’s leading mountaineering events, attracting the best practitioners of extreme alpine sports, adventure filmmaking and mountain climbing.
