Calaway Park is western Canada’s largest outdoor family amusement park, and is located just to the west of Calgary, off of the Trans-Canada Highway.
The park, which opened its doors in 1982, has 33 different rides, from bumper cars to ferris wheels and roller coasters. There are also live stage shows featuring magicians and musical numbers.
Calaway Park is open seven days a week in spring and summer, weekends only in the fall, and is closed for the winter (mid-October to early May). To get to Calaway Park from Calgary, head west out of the city on 16th Avenue: it will appear on your left-hand side after about 10 minutes.
