The Old Trout Puppet Workshop, or the Old Trouts as they’re affectionately called, create captivating puppet theatre for both children and adults.

Often surreal, their performances explore the outer edges of the puppet medium, resulting in original, exuberant art. This is no Punch and Judy Show, the Old Trouts’ unique work must be seen to be truly appreciated.

So far, they have created six productions from their Inglewood workshop, with performances held around Calgary and in other North American cities.

In addition to their stage creation, the puppeteers have worked in television, crafted “puppetish” sculptures and done a music video for native Calgary musician Feist.
