Lunchbox Theatre stakes a claim to being the world’s longest-running lunchtime theatre.
Well known for providing downtown working Calgarians with a place to enjoy live theatre during their lunch hour, the company produces at least six one-act plays a year. Each runs no longer than 50 minutes.
Lunchbox Theatre also presents a happy hour show every Friday and a "date night" show every Saturday. All performances are held in a new theatre located at the base of the Calgary Tower.
Every season the company hosts Suncor Energy Stage One Plays, a collection of fresh one-act plays by Canadian playwrights spanning a variety of genres.
