Ground Zero’s mandate is to provide an alternative to the alternative. Let’s call it the edge in Calgary’s cutting-edge theatre.
The company takes its cues from social and popular culture to produce truly original and avant garde performances, with titles like subUrbia, Killer Joe and The Full Monty.
Ground Zero was also the first Canadian theatre company to independently produce Eve Ensler’s world-renowned The Vagina Monologues.
Performances are held in the Big Secret Theatre in downtown Calgary’s Epcor Centre for Performing Arts.
