When comparing salaries and wages per employee in Canada’s six largest cities, Calgarians had:

• Consistently, the highest salaries and wages per employee for the past 14 years - $63,332 in 2010
• The second highest total growth in salaries (14.6 per cent) and second highest average annual growth in salaries (4.3 per cent) between 2006 and 2010
• The second highest total growth (48.9 per cent) and average annual growth (5.0 per cent) in salaries between 2001 and 2010

Average hourly pay rates are also generally higher in Calgary than in the rest of Canada.
