Country Hills is a young residential community in Calgary’s northwest that was established in 1990. Together with Coventry Hills, Harvest Hills and Panorama Hills it forms the larger Northern Hills Community.
The neighourhood of nearly 3,800 residents is very close to Calgary International Airport, and is bounded to the north by Country Hills Boulevard, to the south by Beddington Trail and to the east by Harvest Hills Boulevard.
Mostly, available accommodations consist of suburban houses, with a smaller percentage of condominiums or apartments.
Golf is huge in Calgary, and Country Hills is no different, being home to the Country Hills Golf Club (a private, member-owned course) and very close to the neighbouring Harvest Hills Golf Course.
Currently, there is only one public school in all of the Northern Hills communities: Coventry Hills School, and only residents of Coventry Hills are eligible.
Bus services take students to neighbouring communities for school.
The major roadways make Country Hills very accessible by car, and the drive downtown doesn’t take too long even though the community is at the northern edge of the city.
The CTrain hasn’t made it here yet, but an extension to the area is planned
