Situated 40 kilometres east of Calgary, Wheatland County is a district that touches on the urban centres of Brooks, Drumheller and Strathmore.
It is decidedly un-urban though, a beautiful prairie landscape of rolling hills and agricultural land. It’s the dedicated stewardship of this land that continues to power Wheatland County’s economy and employ its more than 8,000 residents.
Wheatland County is part of the Golden Hills School Division. Most rural students would commute in to towns and communities for school.
The main access route to Wheatland County is the Trans-Canada Highway: just take 16th Avenue east out of Calgary.
